About these terms
These terms apply when you use the Split Ways website, Split Suggest, suitability checks and online application tools. Split Ways Pty Ltd provides the website and services described here.
A package may have additional service terms shown before payment. If those terms conflict with these website terms, the service-specific terms apply to that package.
General information, not legal advice
Website content and a Split Suggest report provide general information. They are not legal advice and do not predict what a court will decide.
An indicative property settlement range is based on the information supplied. It is not a verified agreement, legal entitlement or court order. Get independent legal advice when you need advice about your circumstances, rights or deadlines.
Using the service
Give accurate information to the best of your knowledge. Keep your sign-in codes and private links secure. Do not use another person’s identity, access an application without permission or interfere with the website.
Suitability questions help identify whether the service may fit. They are not a legal determination. Split Ways may pause or decline an online service when the information supplied indicates that individual advice or another process is needed.
Sharing with your former partner
Sharing is optional unless a later legal process requires both people to review or sign documents. Only enter your former partner’s email or send them a private link when you are authorised to do so.
A shared application version may contain personal and financial information. Check the recipient and the information before sharing. An updated draft can replace or invalidate an earlier shared version.
Packages, payment and court fees
Package scope, service fees, the separate court filing fee and the total payable are shown before checkout. Payment starts the selected service. It does not mean documents have been signed, filed or approved by the court.
Stripe processes card payments. Split Ways does not receive your full card details. Any cancellation, refund or change request is considered under the service-specific terms and rights that apply under Australian law.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the website available and information current, but online services can be interrupted. Save important records and contact us if a failed request or payment appears incomplete.
We may update these terms when the website or service changes. The current version and update date will remain on this page.
Australian consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
